  1. Some times obsolete and pieces that no one in the service could use show up in the PX. I recently bought a 3rd award CIB sew on in the new Scorpion pattern. I remember seeing WW1 Victory Medals on the rack in 2009 or 2010.
  2. I had been suspecting it could have been GI made, but what was it before?
  3. I've had this laying around since I was in high school. Can anyone tell me what it is? It is marked RIA 1905 and has cuts for a belt or strap on the back. Currently held together with what looks like a WW2 leg strap or shoelace and the remains of what could be the original leather.
  4. I think it is Argentinian. Could be a reused US shell. http://brendonshelmets.weebly.com/argentina-m1.html
  5. Two on the left are Missleers, top right is Flight Medic and the bottom right is EOD
  6. I saved this shell from a scrap yard about 9-10 years ago. I was poking around my collection last night and decided to take some photos of it. It was made at the Frankfort Arsenal in 1915. I'm not sure if it is for the M1908 Field Gun or the M1897 Coast Gun but doing a little research I'm thinking the "Armstrong" that is stamped into the base is for the Coast Artillery. Can anyone tell me for sure?
  7. As it is your jeep you can do what you want with it, but upon hearing you intended to use it as a trail ride my heart sunk. This should be restored.
  8. On the glove box door. Often they are painted over.
  9. It is WW2. Do you have a photo of the data plate?
  10. JQMD did make these pouches in 1945. The 1949 and later dated ones are more often seen but are still not common pouches.
  11. He possibly could have been in for a long time. Early Army shooting badges looked very similar to USMC badges.
  12. That was my Uncle's and I's table. I guess I should have worn a USMF badge or something.
  13. This will be my first time there and as vendor to boot. I'm not really sure what to expect but I hope to enjoy it.
  14. WW2 Submachinegun magazine pouch. Work for either the Thompson or Grease gun. Worth well more than a dollar, you did well.
  15. Could you post a photo of the base? Possibly a 3in round for the M1918 or M3 AA gun.
  16. Just hoping to find more of what I like. WW1 28ID and Iraqi bring backs.

    USAF Food

Coming from an Army point of view, whenever we had a chance to eat at an Air Force DFAC we took the chance. We were mostly amazed at getting to use china and steel flatware. I don't know what it is like at Air Force basic but I can imagine it not being much better than Army basic. What I remember about chow at Army basic is that I ate it and did so quickly. Don't really remember what it tasted like and don't much care either, it was food.
  18. I'm thinking Eastern European. It is very similar to several Bulgarian awards. The maker's mark is in the Latin alphabet so I'm thinking Hungarian or a former Yugo nation.
  19. I was thinking possibly Yugoslavian but I haven't found a match either. Is it wool or heavy cotton backing? I'm really thinking it is some Commbloc insignia.
  20. The first and last helmet you listed don't even have WW1 EGA's on them. All are fakes.
