  3. Good Information Marty. I (personally) would still consider this a pre-WWII period badge, but probably a more accurate description might be pre-WWII thru WWII period badge. Clearly, given your information, 1930s would be an inaccurate description. Its hard to know truly when Amcraft would have struck that badge given the pattern of wing, but likely pre-1941 in my opinion. Yours appears to be an excellent example ~ a nice badge. Just my "2 cents"

    CNAC WING ON eBay

As Russ stated ~ all three size variations exist ~ enjoy! Dave
  5. Killer wing Russ! ~ its been along time since I've seen a nice USN Balloon wing. A very scarce badge ~ thanks for sharing. Dave
  6. Thats a great wing ~ very scarce. I have a couple uniforms with groupings in my personal collection that have both an American AAF Pilot wing and Chinese Pilot wing on the tunic. Typically you see a "dual winged" uniform with an AAF wing and either an RCAF or RAF wing, but very, very rarly a Chinese Pilot wing. Again, you have a great looking period original example there!
  7. Real vs. Repro Blackinton hallmarks ~ here is (1) example of the repro hallmark on a Blackinton Bombardier wing vs. a period original Blackinton Bombardier wing with the correct "Sterling by Blackinton" hallmark.
  8. Without question an awesome group of items! I was very pleased to see that the seller chose (not) to break up the wings, as seems to happen all too often with this type of material! With respect to the selling price and thoughts on value ~ there was a good WASP diamond wing at SOS this year that could have been had for $1,200.00 and it went home with the seller. The last good WASP Graduation wing that I know of that sold in the last year went for $2,500.00. The bracelet is a neat item too, but ??? Again, no disrespect to anyone elses previous comments here ~ just my "2 cents" and congrats to the buyer ~ its a keeper group!
  9. A nice lot of original squadron cocunut pins and a 431st Satan's Angel patch from the 475th F.G.~ enjoy! Dave I still need an original 432nd and 433rd F.S. patch for my collection ~ if anyone may know of one for sale, please let me know ~ thx!
  10. Just a heads up for the aviation guys ~ my latest update includes some great items in every catagory. Check it out ~ www.militaryaviationartifacts.com Blue Skies! Dave
  11. Thanks Mark! A lot of years of hunting and luck in finding some of these patches ~ I am grateful to own them! Dave
