  1. Thanks guys, I didn't think I had anything rare but I figured I'd ask. That's a very good link, thanks a lot.
  2. Thanks guys for the info, very interesting. I couldn't find anything about Lohning, I think I found mention of Bertha Zingg in the 1940 census, and an obituary. https://www.archives.com/1940-census/bertha-zingg-ca-33580121 https://www.newspapers.com/clip/41210509/obituary-for-joseph-charles-zingg-aged/
  3. I picked this up years ago, It's a US navy travel regulations binder, repurposed to hold field manuals. It’s interesting but does it have any value? Most pages are stamped Lohning, T.D. and some have revisions pasted in. Was it normal to have field manuals put in a binder, and what’s up with the revisions? There’s also a telegram I’m assuming sent from USS Arizona, by the same person, that was in the book. Thanks for any help.
  4. I finally got around to looking through my canteens, not withstanding duplicates this is what I've got, Are any of of these a rare? canteen cups: R.M. co. 1945 aluminum K.M. co 1945 stainless S.M. Co 1945 stainless A.G.M co 1944 aluminum A.G.M co 1945 aluminum Canteens: volrath 1944 ss AGM co 1944 al GP&F co 1944 ss Gp&f co 1944 al Mirro 1956 al LF&C co 1918 aluminum canteen 1918-B.A.Co. aluminum canteen Canteen carriers: (Inside flap) muer bros mfg co 6-18 ?shale 1942 ?Jeff UMD 1945 st croix G 1945 ?= my best guess. I have one pouch with a Steel hook instead of brass. And one that has USM stamped on the front, I thought it was for USMC but there doesn’t seem to ever have been a C at the end of it any idea what it’s for? Also while on the subject of canteens; Besides markings, and color. How can you tell if a canteen carrier is WWI or WWII? I noticed on my 1918 dated cover the lift the dot posts are concave at the base, whereas on my WWII dated ones the posts are convex. I don’t know if all WWI carriers are like that?
  5. What’s a sealed in its “spam” can M9A1 gasmask worth? I’ve been watching ebay for a while and haven’t seen any sealed ones. I saw they sold them at the link below for $40 and they're are sold out, if that means anything. http://www.frontierfirearms.ca/index.php?m...roducts_id=2248 Ps. I hope this is the right forum to post this.
  6. Finally something I know a bit about. Nice bayonet , I’ve heard of them but never seen one.
  7. I don’t know anything about it; but that’s an interesting piece.
  8. I’m no expert, but are you sure, wouldn’t it be the same as a regular flair guns not being considered a firearm or destructive device? Or like these? http://truflareusa.com/productcatalog.htm Of course common sense isn’t the trademark of the ATF. as far as they're concerned 2+2=7.
