  1. Looks like a US Merchant Marine insignia.

  3. A patriot of the highest integrity. You will be missed Senator McCain.
  4. Just beautiful!! Thanks for sharing not often seen examples.
  5. First timer at Pomona and picked up a few patches for the collection. By the way the facilities were fantastic and show well organized. Some great displays. Highly recommended.
  6. Received this handgun from a 90+ year old army vet. He did not remember anything about the weapon. I did some research and think it is a German pistol that was used by German Paratroops and Police. The Sauer 7.65mm came with holster, two clips and cartridges. Hoping someone out there can provide info on collectability and rarity. Appreciate any input.
  7. Wonderful Photo Bill....love our grandkids. Merry Christmas to all and a very healthy New Year.
  8. Incredible find. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Update on this posted XX Corps patch. I want to thank the Forum member who sent a PM advising on verification of posted patch. I was able to carefully part the red cable threads at border and see the beige cardboard / paper type paper below the threads suggesting German made with templet. Paki patches as I was informed did not use templets. Also want to thank those who took the time to opine.
  10. Any opinions on this 20th Corps patch? Thanks in advance.
  11. I agree Mort.....this 517th is the one to have. Salty and rare!!
  12. Would very much appreciate an opinion on this 95th Division patch. Initially thought it might be a US made black back but closer examination with light revealed dark green OD threads. Just curious as to whether anyone has seen a similar variation. Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas to all.
  13. Great American. He will be missed. RIP
  14. Here's a great photo to share. I'll be a Guardian on the September Honor Flight to Washington DC for this veteran of WWII and Korean War. He served in Allied Naval Forces aboard the Attack Transport USS Pickaway (APA-222) and Landing Ship Dock USS Lindenwald (LSD-6). Discharged after the war and later joined the US Army during Korean War where he served in Provost (Military police). Lastly, served as a military advisor late 50s and early 60s in both Vietnam and Iran. Quite a resume.
