  1. Thank you to everyone who responded about the Israeli helmet.

  2. Greetings all. My son in law has an M1 helmet that has 3 chinstrap loops. It is a front seam, the exterior is the normal textured green. It is stamped inside with a heat / lot number 846G (which if the list is to be believed matches March 1944). The 3rd loop is at the center rear of the helmet. Any thoughts anyone has I am very interested to hear. Thank you, ~scott
  3. Thank you for your replies. I will check out the link to buy a battery. ~asr
  4. I wanted to ask for dimensions of the battery. I'm looking to make a dummy battery for mine.
  5. Hello Dave, I know it's been awhile, but anychance you still have this radio? Either way, thank you. ~asr
  6. I have a rough edge steel, tin plated mess kit. I'm guessing these forks would match up with it. Does anyone have any info about matching spoons and knives? Or any info on where they can be purchased? Thank you, ~scott
  7. Greetings, I picked up a new (to me) tinned steel (raw edge) mess kit. I will try to post pics of it later tonight. The handle is stamped US, but I can't see a date or a makers mark. ~scott
  8. Kurt_E, By any chance can you send me a pdf copy of the magazine please? I'd really appreciate it, thank you. ~scott
  9. Great collection. Have you ever seen the 7 or 8 original PT boats still sitting (out in the weather unfortunately) on the bank of the Rondout Creek, off the Hudson River in New York? Rumor is a well intentioned guy bought them, transported them there, and there they've sat. It's been years since the first time I saw them. As recently as August 2016 they were still there.
  10. Wow! Just... wow. Very impressed. Thank you for sharing.
  11. I can not emphasize enough what cavsaddle says. Investing in good solid reference material can save you hundreds, if not thousands in collecting whatever niche your collecting interest lies.
  12. Impressive pin. Thank you for sharing. I too can't wait to see the backstory.
