Here’s up for consideration a very complete, unique group to a 505th man. He arrived in the UK on 6 June 44, jumped into Holland and spent the rest of the war with the 505th. The group includes his class A’s down to his boots along with discharge and photos. The cornerstone of the group is a virtually mint M42 jump suit that he sent home after jump school. As such, its got both crisp tags and the uniform still has a greenish tint to the khaki.

Class A: Ike Jacket with awards as shown: DUC w/ OLC (pb) pb Sterling Jump Wings in front of twill 505th PIR oval that is secured to the jacket via the pin of the wings. Sterling cb CIB with sterling clutches. EAME with 3 stars and arrowhead, Good conduct, American Campaign and Victory. 3 Overseas Bars, 82nd patch on left shoulder along with Holland Lanyard, 1st Allied Airborne Army on right shoulder. Shirt has 82nd Patch sewn on left shoulder. 1st Allied Airborne and 82nd Patch DIs on lapels. Also includes tie, trousers, and Overseas cap with paraglider patch.

Jump Suit: Virtually Mint. One small hole near in front near the fly, a couple snags here and there, and light storage staining. Crisp tags present in both jacket and pants. 38R stamped into jacket. Trousers are 32x32. Really this set would be tough to upgrade. Main jacket zipper is crown, the knife pocket zippers are Serval

Boots: Size 9E, flaking to the leather throughout, I think the laces may be replacements . Overall pretty solid and definitely real. While they do have the beveled heel and painted brass eyelets, these boots do not have the reinforced stitching across the heel.

Group also includes a copy of his discharge, dogtags, a letter from the vet to the original owner, and 4 original photos plus copies of a couple of the photos.

Asking $5000 for the group which includes shipping and full-value insurance in the US. Overseas bidders will need to pay some for shipping and know up front the full value will be placed on the customs form.

Feel free to PM any questions.

Agreed, no doubt a beautiful grouping from a post Normandy replacement at what I consider a fair price! Love that Ike!
