I have a good reference book for US Military Knives, but occasionally I'll stumble accross a bayonet I can't readily ID. I'd like to have some handy reference material to keep in the car. What is the best reference book out there for Bayonets? Both for U.S. and the rest of the world?
thanks,
Dave

Janzens Notebook on Bayonets is pretty good. Covers all countries.

Dave-I agree w/ robinb on Janzens Bayonet book, a very good world wide cross reference. Homer Brett also has one w/ color photos. My favorite for US Bayonets is Gary Cunningham's "American Military Bayonets of the 20th Century". A really great, informative, and detailed book. Extremely helpful in my collecting. I'm sure the other guys have some other choices. SKIP

also try Paul Kiesling's BAYONETS OF THE WORLD The Complete Edition. It was just reprinted. However there are only about 250 copies in the US. I got mine at the last gun show for 150.00. The book dealer said the was going to raise the price by 100.00 at every show he did. He only has 25 copies.
