Here is a bust I sculpted/painted a few years back. I's based on a famous picture of a Bud Gardner of Seal Team 1 (whom I tried to contact with no luck).

The Tigerstripe pattern I tried to copy if memory serves me well was the 'zig zag' pattern, although this may be wrong! Been a few years since I did this.

Thats bloody awesome! Shame you couldn't contact him, I'd bet he would have loved this! Great work smile.gif

Excellent figure! I love the paint job as much as the sculpting. Thanks for sharing...Kat

Fantastic work .
The pattern is lightweight .
Your ERDL is a little of ,but I do not think this takes away from your attention to detail .
If you painted this from memory then you are a master .

Thanks guys! He was a lot of fun to sculpt and paint.

Im not much of a pattern painter, never mind Tigerstripes and ERDL. It was fun to do but tedious! Now I have to paint some ACU stuff though so I guess everything is relative!

If I remember correctly, the TS pattern I used for reference was called "Zig Zag" pattern? Not sure exactly though!

I know the pattern well .
It is way more complex than your effort .
The green you used reminds me of the lightweight that is all .
Go to the tigerstripe thread and you will see what I mean .
The ACU patterns also will be a chalenge for you .
It is a complex pattern and fools the eye completly .
As with all painted schemes you get to know them after a couple of hours work !!!
Good luck on your next project .
I cant wait to see more of your work .
