These emblems are a modest sampling that represents the group of Barracks Cover emblems with the greatest diversity of design during the period of development precluding the current emblem design, which has now existed since 1962. This period of 1937 thru 1962 saw dozens of designs / varieties and on their own would amass quite an attractive collection.

 

The first is a H&H hallmarked sterling, thinly stamped with no fletching or stempling of the globe, in a gunmetal finish. An early version, which has the rope mounted in the method done prior to 1937. Quite a popular version and often seen in auction.

This is a dual hallmarked H&H / Imperial hallmarked in Bronze, a thick stamp body with no fletching or stempling of the globe and mellow brown patina. An early version, which has the rope mounted in the method done prior to 1937. Quite a popular version and often seen in auction.

This unique EGA is hallmarked Meyer of New York, in Bronze with a production or date number. A thick stamp body with light stempling of the globe and mellow black patina. An early version, which has the rope mounted in the traditional method after 1937. Not as popular version and not often seen in auction or sets.

This is another unique hallmarked Meyer of New York in Bronze with no production or date number on this variation, A thick stamp body with light stempling of the globe and mellow gunmetal patina. An early version, which has the rope mounted in an unconventional method to anchor and securing to the rear. Not as popular version and not often seen in auction or sets.

This is another unique variation nicknamed the “beast” by Gary in bronze with a awkward size applied continents. It defies conventional wisdom as to dating. A thick stamp body with a plain globe and mellow black patina. The rope mounted in an unusual fashion and not in the conventional method of the period. Anchor mounted nearly parallel to the Globe. Have never seen a collar set to match this variety.

Done in Bronze with a awkward placement of and poorly configured anchor rope, A thick stamp body with light and attractive fletching of the globe and mellow gunmetal patina. The rope mounted poorly and not in the conventional method of the period. Not as popular version and yet seen often in auction.

This is another unique variation with no hallmark or production model or date present, in unknown metal with a awkward mounting / fixing of the anchor rope to the anchor on the reverse. A thin stamp body with no stempling or fletching of the globe and a brown (painted?) finish. Seen often in auction with a conventional gunmetal finish.
