brad k Posted July 15, 2008 #3 Posted July 15, 2008 there was another part to that pin stamped out to look like a helmet, the loop just attaches to the pin on the back, I don't know the story on these but have seen several.
Bill Posted July 17, 2008 #4 Posted July 17, 2008 Was given this several years ago by a WW II navy vet. Can't remember if he said when he got this. I've had others tell me these were made after both world wars. Top penny is dated 1920 and the bottom "helmet" penny is dated 1910. Has a safety pin attached to the back of the top penny. Bill
