Well Gents ~ I've seen more than I can stand, and I can't stands no more!!! This is a MAJOR buyer beware dealer in my opinion ~ I have been watching LOTS of questionable aviation items running thru his auctions for some time, and much of it going for very large dollars. Questionable squadron patches, shoulder patches, Blood Chits, Wings (WWI and WWII) and badges. I will only comment on the aviation items as that is my specialty, but he is also selling lots of German badges and insignia as well as law enforcement badges ~ you be the judge as to the items. Does anybody else have concerns with this dealer's stuff ??? I can't be the only one seeing this.............?

Here are some of his recent sales items that I would have some serious concerns with (and this is just a few select examples) ~

Ebay #350541285937 WASP Wing ~ sold for $317.89

Ebay #350547900438 Luxenberg Jump Wing ~ sold for $363.58

Is this the same seller who has several "rare" Aussie-made Angus & Coote wings for sale at any one time?

Pretty heavy patina on the WASP Wings. Very even, very dark, very unnatural, IMO.

Again, people can make their own judgements ~ but, I wouldn't be adding it to my collection!

with the items being noted.

I always cringe when I see a WWII USMC aviation squadron and other patches come up for sale by this Ebay dealer. Right now he has a "VMFN-544 theater made" patch for sale. It is an obvious fake. For most of these USMC patches, including this squadron, we know the extent of the designs put forth and how they were made. Theater made is a great term, but useless unless substantiated by provenance or in some cases without any provenance, the material and construction of the patch may be all we need. The devil is in the details and this patch has none. The patch for sale (left) and an original (right)...details are left out of the FAKE, not too mention the losse embroidering and wrong colors.

Reverse. Same problems, poor construction, details left out, and no backing...

Good point, the Luxenberg Jump Wing was discussed in a different thread, but in most likely originally came from here: http://www.1903.com/...ling-p1145.html all you want at $70.00 a pop.

The WASP http://www.1903.com/...MITED-p528.html again all you want - $90.00

The bullion stuff looks like typical "Paki" repros, stuff looking with the heavy black backing. The shine on the CNAC wings is mirror bright and the pin is wrong. just for starters

This is just an observation but he has recently sold twenty three vintage police fire or sheriffs badges. With that said, I am no expert but I find it strange that not one of them had a hallmark. Now don't get me wrong because I am certainly not an expert but I do have a small collection of badges, in the twenty to twenty five range, and out of the pile there may be one or two that are not hallmarked. So, it looks as if everything he sells may be questionable.

He is also selling a Nazi RLB badge that is clearly sporting a swastika. I can't report him but you can.

I bought two patches from him; one in 2004 and one in 2005. Both have since turned out to be fakes....decent fakes but still fakes. I haven't bought anything from him since.
