Nero Moura is the patron of fighter aviation in Brazil.

During the Second World War he was commander of the First Brazilian Fighter Squadron - 350th Fighter Group - 12th Air Force, having made ​​62 war missions between November 4th of 1944 and May 1 of 1945.
