This is my only shell with a metal rank attachment, but being an M1-C, it's one of my favorite helmets and my only matched and ID'd airborne lid and liner...

Intresting helmet.I see they used the Navy/USMC style Captains bars on this one.

U.S.M.C. M-1 Rear seam, swivel bail, khaki strap. When I bought it it only the hole in it and the discoloration, inside and out around the drilled hole. The guy I bought this from said he recalled it having a "Bird" of some kind on it. I could only think of an EGA or a Full Colonel, and that didn't match the wear/discolored area, so I added the EGA. I know...it's not rank.

Looks darn good I think.
