at this link is a list of those who were wounded , pow or killed in WWII in the navy and the army from the state of Indiania. this looks to be a press release published by the war department . has anyone seen this for other states. i am searching for one for PA.

Below are the ones for the whole country, by state, separated by Navy and Army. I never seen the actual release, but the local papers, like the New York Times, always published this information.

The NARA has navy wounded and kia and army kia. as far as i know they do not have the wounded in action list for the army. the war dept published an army / navy list that was sent to all the newspaper in the USA. they then used this information in there newspapers stating who was wounded. it would be great to find a compleate list of those who were in the army Wounded. i would be even interested in other states that have a list of army WIA. the new york times and some other newspapers have this information on proquest. just interested in knowing if anyone knows if other states have this informaiton.

That would make a great research project at the NARA. I'm sure somewhere they exist, the trick would be finding them. I have to search what NYS records links I have and see if anything like that exists here. I agree, that would be a great find.
