Hello,

Here's one off my latest finds and maybe some off you already seen it on ebay.
It's a fixed bale repainted M1 helmet with captain markings on the front.
The liner is olso repainted with a glossy green color as seen late in the war during ceremonies.
Olso the liner has captain bars and above that is the 78th "lightning" infantry division insignia.
What do you think about this helmet?

Those are the weirdest captain's bars I've ever seen..."H"!! :o And yet, correctly configured on the liner.

I was thinking the same, Ian. I haven't seen anything like that, but there were some odd things done sometimes

It certainly has nothing like the liner's quality - I really do like that liner.

Well thanks for the replies.
@ Sabrejet tought the same thing on the captain bars on the M1 fixed bale. But maybe there are more people here on the forum that have the same style of markings.
@Harlan Yes the liner is near mint on the outside while the inside has seen some use.
