WW2 US M1 named with marking

Hi all,

I just got this helmet and I have a question about the front and rear marking and maybe could you help me find more informations about the owner. W.M Wilber T-136140
I only know that "T-" mean "Flight officer"

Do you have anymore information on the vet? Did you buy this from the family or do you have any idea where the vet was from? Maybe we can help track down his information.

I'haven't more information about the vet, the helmet has been found in France

I have searched on NARA and wwii memorial but i found nothing.

Interesting helmet, even without any info yet :thumbsup: Any idea what the "ALRS" means? And is the cross on the the top paint, or tape residue?

I really don't know what ALRS means, Air Landing Reconnaissance Squadron? Alternate Landing Rescue Strip?...

I think the cross is painted but has worn away, invisible if the shell is not wet.
