    Help with this knife

WWI trench knife, should have some markings and date on the guard. Sheath looks to be a custom made one, very nice. Added some pics off the internet of what original sheath looks like.

    us ww2 bottle

Good evening everyone, I have several questions about glass bottles for beer 1-Who are the various manufacturers? 2-each supplier who manufactures his bottle, has his own label? Could 3-two manufacturers come together to make the bottles? 4-Why 3 colors for the White/Brown/Green bottle?

Unissued M1951 Parka with liner and hood.

Nice fish-tail parka, with a real wolf or coyote fur trimmed hood. We used these occasionally during the Cold War in Germany.

    LGB made Technical Observer wing

I love that wing. I remember Art Greg showing me a similar wing years ago at the old Great Western Gun Show. I know that pattern was used after the war as well, and I have some nice photos of this particular pattern (as a flight surgeon rating) being worn by a USAF guy. Is it possible that these were also made post war? I know that the TO rating was made obsolete sometime around the KW time period (IIRC). Any ideas? P

    4th ID patches assistance needed

Yes , all these 4th Infantry Div. patches are from my own collection. On your question: the last one is made on silk material and I have two variations of them - the front is on both the same but the back is different. On one of them the ivy leaves are embroidered direct on the silk material and the other one has an additional grey twill material for stabilizer. I got all these patches from an old collector who was one of the leading patch collectors and a long time ASMIC member. He had very good connections to a lot of patch manufacturers over here in Germany. Most of them are from the mid 1950s late 1960s. Hope I could help you. If I can help you with further questions, let me know.

    U.S. Army Greatcoat?

Thank you! I appreciate the time and knowledge that you’ve shared with me. I’ve been unable to find any tags on this coat, so that doesn’t help much with IDing this coat.
