bobgee Posted September 14, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2007 Howdy All........An old Marine buddy of mine gave me this several years ago. It's the production die for M1936 EM hat emblems. Weighs about 10 pounds! It was given to him by a friend who said it was found in the wall of a building in Chicago that was being torn down. When the collector's market runs out of M1936 EM emblems in about 25 years......I'll be ready!!!!! Right!!!!!! Enjoy....Semper Fi.......BobGee

GLM Posted September 14, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 14, 2007 Bob: At the prices common EGAs are reaching why wait 25 years? Dirk - An assortment of obscure maker's hallmark stamps wouldn't hurt either! Bob - Now that's a nice souvenir! s/f, Gary
teufelhunde.ret Posted September 26, 2007 Share #4 Posted September 26, 2007 Upon first seeing this die, I suddenly realized was these copper plates were most likely for... testing of the dies. Took a while to find, to bad they are a generation apart... maybe time for a new thread "Match that Die" s/f Darrell
