Peace Posted September 2, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 2, 2007 Hi all, I especially like this photograph because it shows some interesting aspects; -both have tanker jackets -a nice ranger scroll on the tanker jacket and the shirt -30 round mags in 2 round pouch -and very interesting; the guy on the left is carrying an M1928A1 Thompson upside down. Notice that the weapon does not have a buttstock. This M1928A1 must of been a late production because it allready has the L-sight with no reenforcing 'dog ears'. -notice that they both modified their meatcan pouch to be worn from the belt
jgawne Posted September 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 6, 2007 Re: Meatcan pouch- it is well documented that the 1st Rangers (at least) used the canteen cover to carry granades (note: no canteen here) and it makes me wonder what is carried int he meatcan pouch- I doubt it would the messkit.
