gwb123 Posted September 2, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 2, 2007 I couldn't find an existing thread, so I thought I would start one. Once upon a time, I was going to collect EVERYTHING. The economics of the situation soon became reality, so I narrowed the field to utility and work uniforms. At the time, wool and khaki shirts were much less expensive to collect than Ike Jackets and four pocket tunics. Attached are a couple that I picked up about 20 years ago through Manion's. To this day, they are still some of the nicest items I have pulled from auction. The first is a wool shirt with an Alaskan Department patch with the tab. Notice the Tech Observer wing along with the sleeve specialization triangle.
gwb123 Posted September 2, 2007 Author Share #2 Posted September 2, 2007 The next one is another wool shirt with a 1st ID patch. The striking thing of course is the bullion CIB. I believe the auction listing claimed the CIB to be made in Italy, but who knows. Again a simple shirt that tells a story.
