Very nice Gary thanks for the pics. :thumbsup:

 

It seems to have an extra slip on D ring. Probably so that with an extra it could have two shoulder straps.

OK now that I have been educated in the difference between the two kinds of Sam Browne belts, I looked through the suitcase from Grand Dad's WWI service and came up with this:

(not Grand Dad -- one of his brother officers from Camp Hospital #33, 329th Inf Reg, 83 Infantry Division.)

 

You can see the sword ring thing on Capt. Gabbert's left.
