If there were four discs (2 "U.S." and 2 branch discs), it was as worn on occupational duty (correct me if I'm wrong).

Here, I think the owner just put them on "wrong".

Normally, they're worn on the upper part.

I have several Fourragère and they look just like yours.... uncut.... they came from a veteran in the 17th. thumbsup.gif

 

Thanks Gil. I think I am about to take it off of the uniform. Every pic I can find, the Fourragère has three cords terminated with a knot and a metal tag. I don't exaclty know what this is or what happened to this one.

I have learned so much from everyone. I am leaving everything as is. I just got worried....you know...when you start looking around and what you have dosen't quite fit the "norm". Makes you start to wonder???? But the pics and the sharing of information here helped me feel more confident about what I have. Forums like this are a great learning/teaching tool. Again, thanks to all!
