I bought a nice grouping of clothing from an ex WWII Air Force Crew Chief. Among them are two absolutely mint, unissued AN-S-31A Summer Flying Suits. I have not had the time to photograph them, but below are the details and tag contents. I do not collect Aviation stuff and would like to give them a good home, for a fair price. So could someone out there please give me a ballpark, fair market price for these suits, so I can price them right in the For Sale section.

Mint AN-S-31A with cutter tag on collar.

Tag is Black with gold lettering.

SUIT-SUMMER FLYING

SPEC.No AN-S-31A

SIZE 38 MEDIUM

STOCK No 8300-792088

One with a stock number similar to that (the last numbers were different which usually just indicates a size difference) just sold on Ebay for $255.00 - it had the Army Air Force logo printed on the shoulder, which probably makes a big difference. There were six bidders on that but only two them went above $180 and half the bidders dropped out before it hit $100.

A non-Ebay online seller has an olive drab AN-S-31A for $165.

If I was going to put a fixed price on one of these wanted to be fairly certain it sold, I would not go above $150 and if I didn't pay lot for them in the first place I might even price them at $125 each. Collectibles have wide price range and some people are willing to let something sit on the shelf a long time in hopes of getting the highest price, but if something didn't cost me a lot I'm often willing to price near the low to middle end of the range.

Forum Support. Thanks for the response and the opinions. Both suits have the multi color Airforce emblem on the left shoulder and a white version of the emblem printed on the inside back. These suits can NOT be upgraded, they truly are museum quality and the best of the best, so I will try to get a reasonable price for them.
