A Couple Chevron ID's

I am thinking the first ones are ROTC or Military School. Red felt on bluish-gray felt.

Is this one a police chevron? Black felt on a lite blue felt.

'Tex, that last one could very well be a police chevron. Could also easily be a ROTC/Military academy. With these....sometimes it's darned hard to tell.

I agree that both could be Police, ROTC or Military School ranks. And, yes, it's hard to tell on some of these older chevrons. That's one thing that makes Emerson's Chevrons book so valuable. It will give information on background cloth type and colors.
Hang onto them.... someday you'll find out just what they were for!
