Recommended Posts

Infantry officer wearing the SSI and DUI of the Alabama Army National Guard. I believe the number on his branch insignia is 167. The 1st Battalion 167th Infantry is attached to the 62nd Troop Command of the Alabama National Guard.

Here's a strange one. This NCO is wearing Quartermaster Corps branch insignia, thew SSI of the 555th Engineer Brigade and the DUI of the 5th Air Defense Artillery.

95th Civil Affairs Brigade with red on black AIRBORNE tab. Note he was awarded the Air Medal which is rarely seen post-Vietnam War outside air crewmembers.

7th Infantry Division in the Aleutians - 1943

I think the caption might wrong, this guy has 3 1/2 years overseas already. Can't be 1943, opps I'm a little late to the party

The old Hawaiian Department SSI worn post-WWII by which time I believe it was called the Central Pacific Base Command or U.S. Army Hawaii
