and is this parachute cover unusual or uncommon? i have never seen one before, but I don't collect helmet covers either. It is pretty faded on the inside, though not as bad as the pictures show.

It is not rare or special. It is marked "COVER, GROUND TROOPS-PARACHUTIST'S HELMET," showing it is for both configurations of the helmet, as all of the helmet covers are. There is no seperate cover used by the airborne.

Noticed no one has added to this in a while. I just came across these two in box I was going through.

What is the age of this one?


Circa 1984. The DLA 100-84-etc. is a contract number. The 84 is the year of the contract.
