This piece of original insignia art is from my collection and is also another of my favorites. The design was requested by Lieutenant Colonel Harry Aldrich, while the unit was in training at Camp Stewart, Georgia.

 

I love the concept Disney artist Hank Porter devised for this particular design - a proud looking Goofy returns from a hunting trip, his bagged prey hangs around his neck, off his belt and tucked under his arm. This particular insignia was created in the spring of 1943.
