Vintage decal question...

Okay, some more questions. I also purchased this old decal this weekend at the show. Is this a WWII vintage decal or some cereal box give-away from the 50's? I checked the WEB and the maker of this decal, Davis Bulletin Co, did provide decals to the military during WWII. Kim

Nice decal. It is hard to say for sure just when it was manufactured, but my guess would be post-war as in late '40s or '50s. One clue is the use of the Postal Zone code in the maker's address. The Zones did not come into use until 1943 and only in the largest cities. It later spread to smaller cities and then the rest of the country.
