...progressive lenses. Yep, I'm officially "old" and in need of progressive lenses. My biggest concern was whether they were going to induce headaches and they have not. Then, second on the list was how they might challenge my ability to establish a good sight picture.

Well, here is how I did my first time out shooting at 50 yards with an original 1943 Remington Model 1903A3 rifle and milsurp Greek .30-06 ammunition -

The two shots in the 8 and 9 ring above the black were my spotting shots. The remaining 13 were in the black though 2 were a bit lower than the others for some inexplicable reason. Anyway, all-in-all, I am quite pleased with my performance using the new glasses. I hope that over time and with more practice I will be able to tighten the groups up further.

Just for reference, here is what this rifle is capable of at 25 yards accuracy-wise (if I, of course, do my part) -

And finally, here is a photo of the rifle which I believe I have posted in the past -

Then again, they say the memory is the next thing to go after your eyesight :crying: .

Eyesight and then memory. You may have to remind me of that from time to time. Anyway, good shooting and that rifle is beautiful.

Nice shooting. Good that old eyes still have it. But not to burst your bubble when I had a friend pickup some Greek 30-06 at Camp Perry I was told not to shoot it in my 03. Only M-1 Garands. I will see him tues and find out his source. Robert

The Greek 30-06 will work in both. It's the Garand that you want to be carefull with using hot loads.
