A great Marine personality figure, LtGen John Twiggs "Handsome Jack" Myers, winner of the USMC Brevet Medal for heroism during the Boxer Rebellion in China. He came from a long family line of military heroes and was known as quite the lady's man. His trademark handlebar mustache, he retained the majority of his career. He is most notable for leading US Marines, British and Russian troops in the defense of the Legation and breaking the seige with a gallant attack in which he was speared by a Chinese Boxer.
