USMC enlisted evening dress chevrons

I wan´t to show you some of the USMC evening dress chevrons.

 

note the gold on white "Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps"

and the gold on red "Marine Corps Band Leader"

 

Two of them are marked on the back "10 76" so they are made Oktober 1976.

 

Are these type of chevron still in use?

I´ve never seen enlisted evening dress uniforms offered on ebay or militaria shows.

These critters are hard to find and are only worn by staff NCO's (Staff Sergeant on up). The ones on a white background are especially hard to find. IMHO these are the best looking chevrons worn on any American uniform. :thumbsup:
