Earlier Comandos de Selva chest rig.  Oddly enough, the chest rig is void of a CDS tag and the buckles are not CDS marked either.  The only indication that this rig is CDS is the lining inside the pockets.  Lining has fabric with the CDS logo on it.

I always love pocket finds.  This one had two zip ties (I'm assuming for handcuffs or retraints), a 9mm round, a chemlight with paracord tied to the end, and a 9mm simunition round.

This is most likely AFSOC (JTAC/CCT) used.

Great find Arch, and you gotta love those pocket finds.

BTW, the knife arrived a few days ago. Thank you my friend.

Getting the war room ready for two new full mannequins.  During the straightening up effort, found room for four torso mannequins.

Still need to find room for the last two torsos.  Collector problems.

Early OEF time period AFSOC used and painted AWS vest.  Vest is from the mid 90s and was painted for use in early Afghanistan.

USSF used SO Tech split chest rig with 01 and 02 dated buckles.  Pouches are a mixture of Blackhawk and Paraclete.

These are a couple of pieces that I picked up while on vacation this Summer.  I have posted pics of these before, but not displayed properly on a torso mannequin.

This is a Vel-Tye Hugger plate carrier and a London Bridge Trading Company (LBT) 1961A in ACU.

When I originally found these items in the surplus shop, I thought they were unrelated items.  After having discussed the items with several knowledgable collectors, I believe these two were indeed a set.

The SEALs were known to use Vel-Tye Huggers and LBT 1961As.  The combination of these two being used together is very probable.

The reference pics show the 1961As in use and the Vel-Tyes in use.....just not together,

My newest display.....Ranger in Afghanistan circa 2009/2010. Display consists of experimental Bulldog Mirage camouflage uniform, Ranger green RBAV with pouches, and a Ranger specific painted ACH.

I am also including a picture of some Rangers using the Mirage camouflage.

The Mirage camo was used on a very limited basis by the 2nd BN, 3rd SFG and with the Rangers.

I decided to change out one of the torso displays recently.  I'm toying with the idea of putting all painted gear onto the torso mannequins.

Anyway, this is a painted Afghan plate carrier with a painted Eagle SF30 chest rig.

This is a Cristina made body armor (no hard or soft armor) and MOLLE pouch set with ITW-Nexus buckles with 2000 dates.  Cristina was a gear maker located in Quito, Ecuador and made gear that was used by local military (if they could afford it) and local US forces.  This particular set was brought back by a gentleman in 7th Special Forces Group.  Sometimes Cristina made mission specific gear or the soldier would buy it to supplement their own gear.

The cap didn't come with the armor, but is an El Salvador Special Forces cap.
