blkjack07 Posted April 5, 2010 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2010 I think these have to be USMC because of the 3.5" width, but I've never seen Marine stripes that color before. In the scan there seems to be a hint of green, but in natural light they're definitely brown. Does anyone know if they were made in that color? Could they simply be faded that bad? Thanks, John
QED4 Posted April 6, 2010 Share #2 Posted April 6, 2010 I think it is Army rather than Marine for the khaki chino four pocket uniform jacket worn in tropical areas in the 1920-30s. The size is probably just poor quality control, it is not unusual at all to find Army strips that are 3 1/4 inches wide this may be just pushing it a little more. I agree, these look Army to me and the exact size and color can vary somewhat from what the regs spelled out.
