siege1863 Posted July 8, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 8, 2007 Although Fort Snelling in Minnesota served as an induction center for hundreds of thousands of men during WWII, I am having a difficult time locating anything in the way of maps or guidebooks of the place. This is where Mr. Samuelson was processed into the service and in his letters he identifies his barrack building as well as others. I would like to find a map showing the layout of the installation. It seems almost all information on Fort Snelling relates to the much earlier historic fort and buildings. Does anyone have a WWII-period map or guidebook? Thanks. Kurt Barickman Posted July 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 8, 2007 You should call the Fort Snelling museum as there is a bookstore there. I have been there several times as they have a WWII roundtable there every month except the three summer months. I know that they would probably have something on the Fort during WWII.
