Thanks for the replies, just takes some time and a little cash to build your own museum.

Bones,
Holy crap! Johan the Liberator has most of the stuff we left in Europe after the war. I think you got most of the uniforms that made it back to the states. Only downside is storage/display. If you can't get to it to "play with" collecting is not as fun. Rick

This is a display I did for Veteran's Day. Every year the VFW puts on a slum feed. Those of you who are familiar with WW1 jargon knows what that is.

This is a display I did with some help from my boys. We set up at our local Hastings, Nebraska Military Show. I had not displayed the truck grouping before but I did post it in the groupings thread. Pre WW2 service in the service company of the 134th Infantry Regiment. The huge banner was also brought back by him. It is almost 16 feet long.

Next is the grouping of the company commander of the 137th Ordnance Maintenance Company of the 16th Armored Division. Started his service as an enlisted man and was sent to OCS. Don passed away not too long ago after a long and successful life.

Then we have the camo coverall and helmet grouping. Liner of the helmet is stenciled to the owner of the coveralls. All original fixed bail with original helmet net. Coveralls are size 42.

Then the uniform grouping of an 84th ID veteran that was wounded at the battle of the bulge. Was shot in the foot and walked with a limp the rest of his life. Neat newspapers from before he went overseas.

I have had this flag grouping also for a while. Man was assigned to the 99th ID and the 2nd ID. Lots of letters to his family. Flag is signed by his comrades in arms.

The rest are groupings from Nebraska fellas. USN Pearl Harbor named good conduct medal. some 134th Infantry Regiment grouping and some other odds and ends.

Great display (as usual) ;)  :D

If you missed Tonys display at ASMIC it was really a work of art.

Here is my display for 2015 at our local Nebraska military show. Had a theme of Service company of the 134th Infantry, 35th ID. Reason I just purchased a killer grouping from a pre WW2 S/Sgt who became a warrant officer after the war and retired a LT Col in the mid 1960's. Then I included a miscellaneous 35th ID table cause I could. Hope you like it.
