disneydave Posted July 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2007 Disney artist Hank Porter created art for two different programs used by the Masquer's Servicemen's Morale Corps. This group consisted of actors, actresses, comedians and musicians who traveled throughout southern California entertaining troops at various bases military hospitals. The one showing the characters saluting was for an August 19, 1944 performance for the 441 Base Unit Army Air Force. The one showing the characters marching was for the July 29, 1943 performance at Camp Haan, California. Spencer Tracy was the host at this event and he signed his autograph in pencil along the right edge. The inside pages and back covers of both programs also feature Disney character illustrations. These two programs were used for numerous different performances.
