jim2 Posted July 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2007 This is a nice ike jacket I recieved with a large lot of uniforms. What I love about this jacket is the USAAF Green Project tag which had his name and serial number. I believe the green project had something to do with returning servicemen returning on usaaf planes that were being rotated back to the states after the war. CNY Militaria Posted July 7, 2007 Share #6 Posted July 7, 2007 Great set! The lapen button is the equivalent of the ruptured duck pin.

jim2 Posted July 8, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted July 8, 2007 Thanks for the comment guys. I have never seen one of these tags, have any other members ever seen one of these "green project" tags before? I imagine they are not to common. I speculate since the tag is on there, and there is no ruptured duck on the uniform that he wore this uniform on the flight home, and then switched to his 4 pocket jacket to be discharged.
