Championhilz Posted July 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2007 I picked these images up at a local antique shop in Clinton, Mississippi, several years ago - paid the extravagant sum of $4. The photos are of brothers Baldwin Morris on the left and James Morris on the right. They were from Wilmington City, Delaware. Baldwin enlisted Feb. 11, 1941 - I don't know what unit he served in - does anyone recognize the unit patch on his uniform? His younger brother James Norris served in the 741st Tank Battalion - this unit was in the first wave at Omaha Beach on D-Day in DD Tanks, most of which promptly sank. Doing some research on ancestry.com, I found another picture of him and brief writeup in a book entitled "Young American Patriots." According to his bio, he fought in five campaigns earning a Good Conduct Medal along the way. His unit also earned the Presidential Unit Citation. I have to wonder how the pictures of the Norris brothers made their way from Delaware to an antique shop in Clinton, Mississippi? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
