Lloyd, the 2nd was the only unit to continue wearing them that way postwar.

I collect WW2 posthumous Purple Hearts. The 12th yearbook came with a group of a man KIA with the 23rd Tank BN near Offendorf, France in January 1945.

Armored patches. Sorry for the flash, but the patch from the 13th AD is behind it

Sounds nice, do you have a pic? I have never seen their insignia before.

Thanks!

Yes, I put it in the "TD patches" topic.

The wool 1AD patch looks very nice.

You have more information on the wearer?

I don't see remnants of any ribbons. It appears to be a very early war coat as well. No name inside unfortunately.

Thanks!

I will have another one to post soon. I just bought a 7th AD ike jacket with sweet ribbons to a Technical SGT.

The major is still having fun with his fellow officers here and doesn't want to leave yet :).

Tell me where and I'll liquor him up some more ..... maybe he'll be generous and give me that uniform.

Here's something Armored from my humble collection:

HBT coveralls with original 4th Armored Division patch (no put together).
The pistol belt comes from Richard Bowman (Medic with 704th TD Bn).

This tradition was started by George Patton when he was commander of this unit.

The patch should be where the heart of the man is.

The right sleeve is for the unit u where in combat with.

Just wanted to mention that we wore the patch on the left sleeve like others on our class A uniforms.
