StevenL Posted February 21, 2010 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2010 I just scanned the two lone photographs in my collection and figured I'd share them here. First is a 1938 dated Christmas card with the portrait of an Army musician. I was going to erase the 50 cent price but couldn't find an eraser. The paper is textured and has a coating on the front which made it difficult to scan. The other photo is of a number of Engineer and Transportation Corps officers and has all of their names on the back. Any ideas on what awards are on the 6 place ribbon bar? I few of them don't look familiar to me.
kyhistorian01 Posted February 21, 2010 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2010 Nice photos. From what I can make out the ribbons are as follows: L-R Army Distingished Service Medal, Silver Star, WWI Victory with 3 stars, Mexican Border Service Medal, Army of Occupation Germany WWI era and the American Defense. That means the photo was taken before Pearl Harbor or just after the war started. Robert
