Finally, a WW 1 U.S. made Leather Jerkin

I've entertained the idea of adding a leather jerkin to my collection for many years but they are always in rough shape or way too expensive. A few weeks ago at our local Toledo, Ohio collectors show I finally found one that was in great shape AND a great price as well. A partial tag remains, enough to know it's U.S. made. Original buttons, none misssing and the interior wool lining is like new.

It will go over one of my Engineer or Artillery WW1 tunics for display.

Opinions and Enjoy

Man, I wish I had known you were looking for one...I had one that I sold that was near mint...remarkable considering the age and being LEATHER!

Yours looks nice though, with some realistic age and wear.

Not bad!

Nice! I'll like to see it on display. Do you have any pics with this being used in WW1?

Heres a couple. Guys on the center tractor upon the top left and on the front right both appear to be wearing these. Also on the 2nd pic they are both wearing them. Anyone have any to add?

Just came across your posting and realized I had an RPPC in my collection! Real nice image of a leather jerkin.
