cwnorma Posted June 23, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2007 Schottzie, It is a little hard to tell from the picture, but if the piping is more maroon then the hat is for an officer in the "Medical Reserve Corps." If you think it is more of a purple, then he would have been an officer in the "Motor Transport Corps". Best way to tell is to look where the piping is covered where it tucks into the fold, and see if you can tell if it has faded. I love piped WW1 overseas hats. I get them every chance I can. Nice hat!
