I snapped this picture earlier as I was setting up my camera, but it came out nicely so I thought I would share.

This is the uniform of Cook, Heinrich M. He was one of the cooks for the 94th Aero Squadron.

A German born immigrant to the US, according to the information provided by his family; "he was able to get chickens and other items from the locals that other cooks could not get. He was very proud of making "cakes and pies" for the pilots of the squadron."

Chris,

That is pretty awesome! "The Army marches on it's stomach" as they say.

Thanks for sharing!

Frankie,

No, that just happens to be my smallest mannequin, and that belt fits it nicely.

For some reason, I just think the uniforms look better with a belt on... Plus I have so many different belts, it's the best way to display them.

Now that I think about it, with the exception of a few Sam Browne belts, Marine corps buff dress belts, a medical officer's belt, and of course trouser belts, none of the belts I have came with the uniform groups.

Chris

Nice Chris! Is the revolver belt original to the coat?

Could you post your medical officer's uniform that came with the belt? It's great to see more WWI items here.

Frankie,

I will, and it's a dandy! He was a US Doctor who was attached to the British Northumbrians and his coats have their formation marks! I have his combat coat, his walking out coat, as well as his summer coat and many other items from him. It's a great group.

But, you are gonna have to wait till I get back from Boston next week.

Great Chris! I'm looking forward to the medical officer group, sounds nice.

By the way, I will be calling Boston home in a couple of years.
