CNY Militaria Posted June 19, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 19, 2007 Does it really matter? I doubt anyone will look at the tag inside and shoot you down over the date. I would just use it anyways.

cbuehler Posted June 19, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 19, 2007 Not really a stupid question at all. I have often wondered how long it usually took for stuff to reach the battle field for use. In this case, I would think it extremely unlikely that a jacket would make it from manufacturer and go through the system, then ship overseas to depot and from there to the field in a month or so. Michiel M. Posted June 19, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 19, 2007 No, if you want it 100% right you have to use an earlier one.. If the M43 was produced on 29 Nov 1944, it would never be on time in the Bulge.
