DutchInfid3l Posted December 28, 2009 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2009 They are pin on not slide on shoulder boards. Only thing remotely similar would be ROTC cadet third class though all the pictures I've seen don't have the blue piping. Any ideas?
JBFloyd Posted December 28, 2009 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2009 Officer trainee. One stripe indicates first half of the lower class; two stripes is for the last half of the lower class. When I was there, we worn the stripes straight across, not on the diagonal, and they were always held together by gobs of duct tape or bandage tape. When you moved to the upper class, you wore silver stripes like Navy officer rank. In the last half of the upper class, you worn an additional half-stripe below your rank. All upper-classmen were at least OT-second lieutenants, so the minimum rank was a full stripe.
