Value of a WW1 Poster

I picked up one of the famous "I Want You" Uncle Sam posters today at the flea market. It's definitely one of the original paper ones from WW1. I have no clue how much it would sell for on ebay, which is what I plan on doing with it. Is it even worth putting up?

I couldn't find any ended auctions for this poster.

Adam,

WW1 posters can fetch a suprising amount of money, with some rare ones getting into four figures!

However, your's is not in the best of shape, and most people who buy them buy them for decorator as well as collector potential.

That having been said, If you are not going to keep it, put it on ebay! They are desireable, and someone will buy it who will get it linen backed and properly framed.

I was taking pictures, and decided I'd get one of this up too...

Thanks, It's already backed on a piece of wood. I'll stick it on ebay this weekend. Maybe I'll be surprised!

The condition is of utmost importance. Is it permanently mounted onto the wooden board? If so, that will really lower the value and make restoration difficult and expensive.

New Romantic

I have one of these posters my Dad got in Germany in the early 1980's. I'm assuming it's a reprint, but how can I tell if it may have been printed during WWI?
