Can anyone give me info on the "U.S.E.D. Creagh-Osborne Marching Compass Mark Vll Mod. E. Sperry Gyroscope Co. Brooklyn N.Y". I got one with its pouch for christmas and I cant seem to find any info on its use in WWII anywhere. :blink:

That's because it's a WW1 item of issue.

Yep, WWI. I refurbished one a few months ago as the fluid had all leaked out and the window was almost completely un-readable. It cleaned up really nice and is an interesting compass.
