37thguy Posted November 11, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted November 11, 2009 Dick served in the Army from 66-67 in the 10th Infantry in the Panama Canal Zone. He enjoyed Ohio military history (our connection) and was an active Civil War re-enactor and wrote a book on the 49th OVI and was in the process of having it published. He also wrote a book entitled "History of the Ohio National Guard in Fostoria, Ohio 1877-1954". I am honored to own one of these signed by him. He was always asking me when I was going to get my WW1 diary of a 37th Division Majors done. I wish I had finished it so he could have enjoyed it. He never failed to send me Ebays "a friend saw this on Ebay and thought you'd be interested" Email whenever something new popped up on the 37th Division or Ohio National Guard. I'm sure I'll miss something now that his friendly reminders won't be there anymore.
