ClaptonIsGod Posted November 9, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 9, 2009 Just absolutely amazing. Definitely worth the $45 cost for the entire box set. Yeah, too bad it launched all the 506th PIR fakes, but, it was definitely worth it. Words do not describe how awesome this series is, so I will just paste in the movie description. "Based on the bestseller by Stephen E. Ambrose, the epic 10-part miniseries "Band of Brothers" tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army. Drawn from interviews with survivors of Easy Company, as well as soldiers' journals and letters, "Band of Brothers" chronicles the experiences of these men who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear. They were an elite rifle company parachuting into France early on D-Day morning, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and capturing Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. They were also a unit that suffered 150 percent casualties, and whose lives became legend."
ww2vault Posted November 9, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 9, 2009 Yes sir, it was indeed one awesome ten part series! I can't wait for Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg to finish work on the next installment, "The Pacific". - Jeff
1perazzi Posted November 9, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 9, 2009 That is a really great set. Will The Pacific set be as long? I cant wait. I've been collecting U.S. for about a year now, got tired of the fakes and high prices of TR. :crying: Amazing what I can get by trading off TR stuff for. JimmCapp Posted November 12, 2009 Share #7 Posted November 12, 2009 If "The Pacific" is only half as good as BoB it will be great; judging by the source material and production crew, there is a good chance it will be.
ww2vault Posted November 12, 2009 Share #8 Posted November 12, 2009 Thanks so much for posting that! I've always wanted to find a trailer but could either not remember the name of the show or I was just too lazy. Heh, well a couple months back, some links to trailers for it were posted on USMF, but I guess HBO wasn't ready for it and they went to every single site such as Youtube and took the trailers away. Everyone only had about a couple day window to see the trailer. It is really nice to see HBO is finally getting around to officially showing the trailer for the series. They even have two more videos about the series, nice! :w00t: Not everyone might know or remember, but our very own USMF forum member, Mr-X, has a small part in the series! - Jeff
