MAS36 Posted May 21, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2007 I found these at the local heath food store, they are called: PEMMICAN fruit & nut concentrated food bar, quick energy didnt they use energy bars similiar to these in WWII rations? or survival rations ? ingredients: malted corn and barley, non fat milk, honey, wheat germ, raisins, soy flour, walnuts, soy oil, wheat bran, pecans, grape juice Natural ingrediants combined to make a complete protein. made by: Intermountain Trading Co. This was true of both the original version invented by Am Indians and the version put in survival kits pre- and early-war. I just checked Wikipedia on pemmican and the company that makes the bars you show were actually sued because their product was not pemmican. Basically they are just a granola bar.
